Installation precautions for self priming pumps
1. Before installing the self priming pump, it is necessary to carefully check whether the bolts of the self priming pump are loose and whether there are any foreign objects falling into the pump body to avoid damaging the impeller during operation.
2. Place the self priming pump on the concrete foundation, place an isolation pad between the bottom plate and the foundation, and align the pump level by adjusting the height of the isolation pad. After adjustment, tighten the bolts.
3. Before installing the self priming pump, a suitable concrete foundation should be prepared by the fire pump manufacturer according to the foundation size of the self priming pump, and the anchor bolts should also be pre embedded during the process of making the concrete foundation. Making concrete foundations refers to large self priming pump products, while small self priming pumps do not need to be used as concrete foundations.
4. When encountering dust covers at the inlet and outlet of the self priming pump, the dust cover should be removed and connected to the pipeline. It should be noted that if using the self priming pump product with the fastest water suction, the outlet pipeline must be vertically upward for 1 meter before turning, otherwise the water on the inside of the pump body can be easily discharged during the self priming process.
